We collect information you provide directly — such as your email address, display name, and preferences when you create an account. We also collect usage data automatically, including listening history, favorite stations, search queries, and device information.
When you sign in via Google or Apple OAuth, we receive your name, email, and profile photo from those providers. We do not access your contacts, calendar, or other account data.
Your data powers account features such as favorites, listening history, saved preferences, semantic search access, and optional DJ commentary.
We may review aggregated, anonymized usage data to improve search relevance and station catalog quality. We never sell your personal data to third parties.
RadioHear may use third-party AI services for station descriptions, DJ commentary, text embeddings, and related search behavior. Your search queries and station metadata may be processed by these services when those features are enabled.
We do not send your personal profile data to these providers unless a feature explicitly requires it.
We use essential cookies for sign-in sessions and functional storage for playback and DJ preferences such as volume, last station, and DJ settings.
We do not use third-party tracking cookies or advertising pixels.
Application data is stored on infrastructure we control directly. Data is encrypted in transit, and operational backups follow the hosting environment's retention policy.
To request deletion of account data, contact us directly until a self-serve deletion flow is available.
You have the right to access, correct, export, or delete your personal data at any time. You can manage your data from your profile settings or by contacting us at privacy@radiohear.com.
If you're in the EU/EEA, you have additional rights under GDPR including the right to restrict processing and data portability.
For privacy-related questions or data requests, contact us at privacy@radiohear.com.
